The Adventures of Flatlining

This week’s podcast episode is entitled “The Adventures of Flatlining”.

Last week, I talked about “The Cortez Principle”, involving the legend of Spanish Explorer Hernando Cortez who landed in Mexico and immediately ordered his men to burn all their boats, thus committing them to their mission, and eliminating any plans of an escape route.  As a result, I decided to adopt this “all or nothing mentality”, so I think this week it’s quite fitting that I’ve landed on the side of nothing.

The week started off weird, and for no reason in particular I feel like giving up.  I’m just tired....

The Adventures of Burning Boats

Hello and thanks for checking out this week's podcast entitled "The Adventures of Burning Boats".

In this week's podcast I talk about "The Cortez Principle". or the legend of how Spanish Conquistador Hernando Cortez landed in Mexico, and immediately ordered his men to burn all their boats, thus committing them to their mission, and eliminating any plans of an escape route.  The idea behind the story is that by removing the option of going back, Cortez forced himself (and his men) to either succeed in their mission, or die trying, since those were the options available to them.

I've decided to apply this principle to my own life, given that I realized that I have limited time, money, and resources, and above all, I need to start utilizing my time better, since of the three, it's the one thing that can't be replaced or replicated.

Don't forget to check out my new series called “Bootstrapping Without Boots: The Small Business Survival Guide”, where the goal is to show small business owners how you can get what you need within the first year of your business for $365 or less.  I’ll detail the step-by-step process of everything you need to do and pretty much cover the basics of what all small businesses should have to operate successfully in a Web 2.0 environment, and I also include some awesome Youtube tutorial videos with clips of stuff that can help you grow a small business.

The Adventures of Learning Lessons

Hello and thanks for checking out this week's podcast entitled "The Adventures of Learning Lessons".

In this week's podcast I talk about the struggles of running a service-based business, and deciding whether or not I'll continue to believe the old adage "The Customer is Always Right".

Still being in the early stages of development, I realize that I have a lot to learn, and as such, this week's struggles and triumphs were all about "learning life lessons"!

Don't forget to check out my new series called “Bootstrapping Without Boots: The Small Business Survival Guide”, where the goal is to show small business owners how you can get what you need within the first year of your business for $365 or less.  I’ll detail the step-by-step process of everything you need to do and pretty much cover the basics of what all small businesses should have to operate successfully in a Web 2.0 environment.

The Adventures of Being Introspective

Hello and thanks for checking out this week's podcast entitled "The Adventures of Being Introspective".

This week's podcast I talk about an incident I had where I believe someone eavesdropped on a personal conversation I was having about them, and it caused me to do some deep thinking about myself, and what I can do to become a better person.  Definitely an interesting scenario, making an already busy week, more "interesting", for the lack of a better word! Hope you find it interesting! :)

By the way, don't forget to check out my new series called “Bootstrapping Without Boots: The Small Business Survival Guide”, where the goal is to show small business owners how you can get what you need within the first year of your business for $365 or less.  I’ll detail the step-by-step process of everything you need to do and pretty much cover the basics of what all small businesses should have to operate successfully in a Web 2.0 environment.  This week, I introduced a "Best Kept Secret" segment, where I focus on a really great product or service that is either FREE or very low-cost.
