The Adventures of Thanksgiving

This week’s podcast episode is entitled “The Adventures of Thanksgiving”.

This week marks the week of Thanksgiving, and I suppose I have a lot on my mind, but probably no more than usual.  Once again, I can't afford to go home and spend Thanksgiving with my family, and I opt to personally not spend the holidays with other people and their families, because I don't like the feeling of being a “third wheel” to someone else's family celebration.

I didn't feel the need to spend a lot of time thinking on Thursday morning what I'm thankful for, since I spend a little time each day being thankful!  I do hope that this is the last Thanksgiving that I spend in pseudo-poverty, because quite frankly, I don't have a lot more of these types of holidays in me at this stage.

I suppose I can say that I'm thankful to still be here, since I now know personally that there's someone that was here last week, that isn't this one.  Death always puts things in perspective, so while this week started a bit heavy, all I can do is hope that this week, or month, or year will just start to lighten up!
